''Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel'' is a 2014 Philippine fantasy drama television series loosely based on a famous graphic novel of the same name created by Mars Ravelo. Directed by Don M. Cuaresma and Francis E. The story followed the journey of a young mermaid named Dyesebel, as she discovers the world above the ocean and locks in a fierce love triangle.
The story has been adapted into five films and a spin-off, throughout the timeline from 1953 to 1996. Among those who took on the role in the big screen are Edna Luna (1953), Vilma Santos (1973), Alma Moreno (1978), Alice Dixson (1990),〔http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/entertainment/03/13/14/throwback-alice-dixson-says-dyesebel-made-me〕 and Charlene Gonzales (1996).
